We all can relate the frustration of lost keys. A recent UK study noted that over 5 million people lost their keys in one year, with one in 10 people losing them up to three times. Also, more than half (53%)of the survey respondents kept some form of identification with their keys, thus heightening the risk of identity theft. To manage lost keys, people typically resort to maintaining duplicate sets. However, duplicate keys should only be a temporary means to access one’s home after a loss. To ensure your safety, contact a professional locksmith to rekey or replace your locks.
