String of Bank roberies in Agoura Hills- Conejo Valley

If we look back to our recent past though the number of crime  have decreased drastically as compare to back in late 80’s and early 90’s but as compared to mid 2000 the crime has increased significantly, whether it is home invasion, bank robbery or stolen car.

In early February, Agoura Hills – The Conejo Valley was struck with a seriers of 6 bank robberies in a month.

History of the series of robbery.

1. Downey Saving and Loans on Feb 7th.
   
2. California Federal bank on Feb 10th
   
3. Bank of America on Feb 11th.
4. Hawthrone Saving and Loan on Feb 18th.
5. Wells Fargo on Feb 23rd.
6. Charter Pacific on March 2nd.

The last hesist took place at Charter Pacific Bank, Agoura Hills on March 2nd,which was a Thursday morning, the suspect was a mid age white man and was 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was wearing a black jacket, with balding gray and blond hair and dark glasses and holding a black briefcase.

He passed on a note to a teller at Bank  that said “This is a robbery. I have a gun. This is not a joke. Put the money in the briefcase now. This is no joke. Do it now.” In  order to be safe and to avoid any unwanted problems for herself and the customers she complied and placed an undetermined amount of money in his bag. When the suspect left, she hit a silent alarm that activated a camera which helped in tracing the image of the suspect. Though the suspect has been identified , he is not been found to be related to other robberies in  Agoura Hills, Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1

It is really disturbing to see a series of crimes in a shot span of a month.
